Update: The Colorado Home Energy Rebate Program has confirmed that the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) single-family program is now closed for Region 1 and Region 2. Household applications and project proposals submitted after August 1, 2026 for Region 2 will not be reviewed and will be denied. You can track funding availability on the HEAR Dashboard.
About the Colorado Home Energy Rebate Program
The Colorado Home Energy Rebate Porgram helps eligible Coloradans lower the upfront cost of home energy upgrades that reduce energy use and make homes more comfortable. Rebates are issued through registered contractors, who pass the savings onto households.
The program has two pathways:
Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR): Supports high-efficiency electric appliances and other upgrades, including heat pumps.
Home Efficiency Rebates (HER): Supports broader whole-home energy efficiency improvements. HER has a set criteria and is available to households living in a manufactured/mobile home (see what counts as a mobile home here).
